This is a good site with travel advise and what to observe.
The motorway from Zagreb is open all the way to Ploce 20 km from Komarna. From Ploce follow the coastal road south towards Dubrovnik. Don't trust your GPS as you get off the motorway. There has been too many recent changes because of the construction work for the next section to Ploce.
Komarna and all our self-catering apartments are off the main
North-South highway (E65) that runs along the coast. It is about 70
km. North of Dubrovnik and 120 km. South of Split. Look out for the
"km stones". The road to Komarna is between the km 733 and km 734
stones.
There is again car train from Hamborg to Villach in Austria: Urlaubs-Express
link.
Some route planners recommends to go through Banja Luka. This is not advisable. It may be 100 km shorter, but the road is not good.
Ferry connections to Croatian and inside Croatia with Jadrolinija Ferries
Agent for four different companies operating between Italy and Croatia
SNAV ferry's operate from Pescara in Italy, Ancona and Civitanova to a number of ports in Croatia.
There are four options if you want to fly.
Dubrovnik Airport is the most convenient. There are
plenty of flights coming in, there are good bus connections to
Dubrovnik bus station and from there to Komarna, and it is affordable
to go by taxi, or we can arrange to pick you up.
Split Airport is the second option and it is also
very well connected to the outside world. There are frequent bus
connections that go South (buses running between Dubrovnik and Split
pass by Komarna).
Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Mostar Airport is closer to
Komarna than the other two but there are few flights that are coming
into this airport. Should you, however, land at Mostar a taxi to
Komarna is the easiest. All buses from Sarajevo pass through Mostar.
Sarajevo may sometimes have good prices for tickets.
Distance to Komarna is about 200 km. Unless you really want to see
Sarajevo we cannot recommend it. Buses towards Komarna depart
infrequently - Lots of them during the first part of the day and very
few from the late afternoon and on. Spending a couple of hours in
Sarajevo could very well be interesting. The old town is completely
rebuilt (with the occasional bullet hole here and there) and is
definitely worth seeing - even if this means catching a later bus.
If you go downtown, you can store your luggage at the bus station in the same room where you buy your tickets. When you walk out of the bus station turn left and head down to the railway station 150-200 meters down the road. From there you can catch a tram into town. It is a ride of about 10 minutes.
You can catch a bus towards either Split or Dubrovnik. The buses for Dubrovnik go right past Komarna. Be sure that the driver knows where Komarna is. If he does not know it is best to get off in Metkovic and catch a bus or a taxi for the last part of the journey. If you are on a bus for Split, get off in Metkovic and take a taxi or another bus from there. Any bus for Dubrovnik should do it.

Neum: (+387) (0) 9884 6978. There are two taxis in Neum with very
little to do. If they can understand you, they will come. Try to say
"Komarna" and maybe "Apartmani Bili" (best known apartments). That
ought to do the job.
Metkovic Taxi Service +385 98 459 275. Use it if you are going to
Metkovic (they will be unhappy if they drive all the way out here just
to take you to Klek).
Watch out. You have to flag down the buses. Wave your hand. Standing there might not be enough. When you come up the road from Komarna the bus stop towards Metkovic and Split is on your right hand side a hundred meters down the coastal road. The Bus towards Dubrovnik stops at the bus stop to your left.
