About Komarna village accommodation in South Dalmatia
Komarna village is 70 km north of Dubrovnik and 130 km south of Split. It lies on the coast of the Mali Ston Bay, and you have spectacular views over reefs, cliffs and small islands to The Peljesac Peninsula.
The village is a friendly, unspoiled and safe place. Children may run
around without getting in trouble and the mix of local people and
tourists is just right.
You will not find many facilities in Komarna. One small hotel with a
restaurant that is open during the tourist season, one konoba (cafe)
and a mini-market. Next to the hotel, there is a fitness centre and a
swimming pool that you can get access to for a fee.
There is a promenade running along the water all the way to a pebble beach. The beach is in a little bay protected from the west-wind and here the water is safe for small children.
Three kilometers to the south is the holiday resort Klek and further
five kilometers south is Neum, the only seaside town in
Bosnia-Herzegovina where there are several big shops, restaurants and
hotels.
Komarna is an ideal base for sightseeing. Many historical places and world-class tourist attractions can be reached by car within an hour. And close by there are also several interesting and little-known places that are well worth your visit.
